Challenge:
Route optimization tools are often built for systems, not for the drivers actually using them — resulting in clunky interfaces, slow workflows, and inefficient routes that cost time and money on every delivery. Straightaway needed to translate complex routing logic into a fast, intuitive mobile experience that drivers could rely on in real-world conditions, where every second and every stop matters.

We approached the product through the lens of speed, clarity, and real-world usability — simplifying complex route data into a lightweight, driver-first interface that minimizes friction at every step. By pairing high-performance routing technology with a streamlined mobile UX, we created an experience that enables drivers to optimize routes in seconds, reduce cognitive load on the road, and consistently complete deliveries faster and more efficiently.
Results:
Straightaway delivered measurable impact at scale — optimizing over 25 million stops for a growing network of more than 100,000 drivers. By reducing route planning time to seconds and improving on-the-road efficiency, the platform has saved users over 162,000 driving hours and nearly $1M in fuel costs, with drivers typically completing routes up to an hour faster each day.
